Hello! Journey is enjoying a meal night tonight with a short video and discussion guide provided below. Please feel free to engage with the material as you wish! (We won’t be posting a live recording tonight).

Here’s the list of ideas from the video. As a group, have a think over which one stood out the most to you. If several, pick one that you can engage in together. It doesn’t have to be deep but it doesn’t have to be shallow either. The more spiritually oriented the better your practice will be. (And they don’t necessarily have to be spiritually oriented at all when you’re engaging with non Christians!)

- Consolation/Desolation:
“Highs and lows from the day of week.”
Spiritually oriented: When were you facing towards God and when were you leaving Him out?

- Examen: “From the last day or week, what would you repeat or what could you do without ever again?”
Spiritually oriented: What times were you experiencing God’s strength and what times were you living without His strength?

- Indifference: “What could you leave up to God (no matter the outcome) and feel lighter about?”

- Lectio Divina: Reading a verse repeatedly over time to watch for how God interacts with you and points things out in it.
